Condo and common-area painting across Calgary.
Individual suites, corridors, lobbies and stairwells. Calgary has well over a hundred thousand condo-titled properties, and painting one has rules a detached house does not.

How much does it cost to paint a condo in Calgary?
Painting your own suite
Inside your unit the work is standard interior painting — but the building around it is not. Most Calgary buildings want notice, a booked service elevator, protected common corridors, and work confined to set hours. Some want a certificate of insurance on file before a contractor gets a fob.
Tell us the building's rules when you send the project and we will work to them. We are insured and provide the certificate on request, which is usually all a building manager needs.
Common areas, corridors and stairwells
Common-area repaints have a constraint no house has: people live there while you work. Corridors have to stay passable, residents need to reach their doors, and the work has to be phased floor by floor rather than shutting a building down.
We plan the phasing into the quote — which floors when, which hours, how access is maintained — so the board is approving a schedule rather than a hope. Finishes are documented so future touch-ups match instead of leaving patch shadows down a hallway.
- Suite interiors — walls, ceilings, trim and doors
- Corridors, lobbies, elevator vestibules and amenity rooms
- Stairwells and parkade access areas
- Unit door and frame refinishing
- Rental turnovers timed to possession dates
- Written scope and phased schedule for board approval
Reserve-fund timing
Common-area painting usually runs on a reserve-fund cycle, which means it is planned well in advance and approved in a specific budget year. Getting a documented scope and number early makes that approval far easier.
If your board is looking at next year's cycle, get quoted now. It costs nothing and it makes the AGM conversation a great deal shorter.
Questions people ask
Do you provide a certificate of insurance for my building?
Yes. We carry liability insurance and send the certificate on request. Most Calgary condo boards and property managers require it on file before granting building access, so just tell us who it needs to go to.
Can you work within building-imposed hours?
Yes. Most buildings restrict contractor work to weekday daytime hours and require a booked service elevator. Give us the rules and the booking window and we schedule to them.
Can corridors stay open while you paint them?
Yes, and they have to. We phase the work so residents always reach their doors, and we use low-odour products in occupied buildings. A full corridor repaint gets split across sections rather than closed all at once.
Do I need board approval to paint inside my own suite?
For interior walls, usually not — but many buildings still require notice and a booked elevator for contractor access, and some require insurance on file. Unit doors facing a corridor are often common property with a specified colour. Check your bylaws.
